1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Decision Fatigue (“the App”, “we”, “us”), you agree to these Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy (together, the “Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

These Terms apply to all users, including users of free features and premium subscribers.

2. App Purpose & Disclaimer

Decision Fatigue is an entertainment and decision-assistance app designed to help users make everyday choices using games and randomization tools (e.g., wheels, dice, coin flips, random numbers) and optional AI-generated suggestions.

The App does not provide professional advice of any kind, including medical, legal, financial, or mental health advice. You are solely responsible for your decisions and outcomes.

Important: AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. Do not rely on the App for critical or high-risk decisions.

3. Subscription & Billing (Auto-Renewable)

Decision Fatigue offers an optional auto-renewable subscription (“Decision Fatigue Premium”). Subscriptions are processed through Apple’s in-app purchase system.

Payment: Charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Renewal charge: Your account will be charged within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Manage or cancel: Go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Refunds: Managed by Apple according to Apple’s refund policies.

The App uses RevenueCat to manage subscription status and entitlements (premium access).

4. AI Features & User Consent

AI features are optional and disabled by default. When you explicitly enable AI features, you consent to sending certain inputs to a third-party AI provider to generate responses.

4.1 Third-Party AI Processing (xAI / Grok)

When AI features are enabled, your prompts/questions are sent to xAI’s Grok API for processing and response generation. If you enable Local Suggestions, approximate location (city-level) may be included to improve relevance.

Sent to xAI: AI prompts/questions, and optionally approximate location (only if Local Suggestions is enabled).
Not sent to xAI: Payment details, Apple ID details, or sensitive personal identifiers.

Please avoid entering sensitive personal information into AI prompts.

Decision Fatigue does not train AI models using your personal data.

5. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the App, we may collect:

AI prompts and queries (only when AI features are enabled)
Approximate location (only when Local Suggestions is enabled)
Account information (name/email) if you choose to sign in for sync
Subscription status and purchase metadata (to determine premium access)
Basic usage analytics (app performance and feature usage)
Saved wheels/templates and preferences (if you save or sync them)

6. What Is Not Required

No account is required to use non-AI features.
AI features do not run unless you opt in.
Location is not used unless you enable Local Suggestions and grant permission.

7. Location Usage

Location access is requested only for optional features that benefit from local context (e.g., local recommendations). The App uses Apple’s standard iOS permission prompt.

You may deny or revoke permission at any time in iOS Settings.
The App continues to function without location access.

8. Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party services to provide functionality:

xAI (Grok) — optional AI response generation
RevenueCat — subscription management and entitlement verification
Cloud services — authentication and data storage for sync (optional)

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

9. Content Moderation & Safety

AI inputs and outputs are moderated to reduce unsafe content. Requests that violate safety guidelines may be refused. Moderation may occur in two layers: within the App’s safeguards and by the AI provider’s safety systems.

10. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as reasonably necessary to operate the App, provide sync features, support users, and maintain safety. AI prompt logs may be temporarily retained for moderation and abuse prevention.

11. Your Rights & Controls

AI Controls: You can enable or disable AI features at any time in Settings.
Location Controls: You can enable/disable location permission in iOS Settings.
Account Controls: If you sign in, you may request deletion of synced data by contacting support.

12. Children’s Privacy

Decision Fatigue is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information has been collected, we will delete it.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided “AS IS” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
